Facebook opens APIs for ads

Marketing and media companies to develop techniques to Facebook campaigns directly into their own systems integration. Facebook publishes an API for this purpose.

 

The new bridge is technically a step in the professionalization of Facebooks advertising system. Companies can already well define who gets to see which advertisements. Only they are often the Facebook site. With an API, they can data from Facebook to get their own systems.

The Ads API has been around since 2009 but until now only use it for advertisers and media agencies who turned one million campaigns.

The system is now so well developed that the exclusivity on it goes, and everyone has access to. Advertisers can now, for example , widespread publicity go shopping at the profile site, A / B testing and do the bidding system to dynamically optimize campaigns on the right purchase.

Social Reader: an app on Facebook which re-aggregates news in a social way

On f8, the annual Facebook summit, The Washinton Post announced that they’ve build an Facebook app which re-aggreagtes and personalizes news stream so you get a social reader…. I am gonna check it out

  • The brand published information I did not appreciate, 27 percent, and
  • Information was not published often enough, 14 percent.

  3. Facebook will make it easier for developers to get users to continuously share their activity on the network.
  4. Developers can focus on three user acquisition points on the platform: timeline, news feed and the ticker.
